One UI 5.1 available for Galaxy S22, Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4

Five devices from Samsung are now being updated with a major update to One UI 5.1. The new software skin previously seen on the Samsung Galaxy S23 series is now coming to the Galaxy S22 series models, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4.

One UI 5.1 update at Samsung

Earlier this month we were able to get acquainted with the new Samsung Galaxy S23 series. Our extensive Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra review was published this weekend. The models from the new S-series are equipped with One UI 5.1. This is the latest skin overlaid on Android 13. This skin has been improved on several points compared to the One UI 5 skin that can now be found on many Samsung devices with Android 13. The update to One UI 5.1 is now rolling out for the Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, Galaxy S22 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4.

The update to One UI 5.1 includes a new widget, with which you can immediately view the battery percentage of (via Bluetooth) connected devices. In addition, the camera and gallery has been expanded with improvements. For example, you can quickly change the color tone of selfies in the camera, highlighting the Expert RAW app that you can use to take photos in high quality. You can also create a shared family album in the gallery, where you have 5GB of free storage space at your disposal per family member. You also have more editing options, where you can quickly remove shadows and reflections from your photo, for example. In the camera app, you can now also use three emojis in people’s faces in the AR Emoji Camera. This can be up to three emojis.

You can also multitask more easily, there are more options for modes and routines and the weather app has been expanded with an hourly rain graph and improvements to the weather widget. With the Samsung Internet browser you can now continue surfing the internet if you use Samsung Internet on another device. New in One UI 5.1 is that the Smart suggestions widget can also serve up Spotify content. We’ve put down the entire changelog of the update for you below.
