Nothing starts with Android 13 beta for Phone (1)

Nothing has started rolling out the Android 13 beta program for the Nothing Phone (1). People who have registered will have access to the program from today. What’s new?

Nothing Phone (1) and Android 13

The Nothing Phone (1) comes with Android 12 out of the box and runs on a fairly clean Android shell. The company released the Phone (1) last July and it is the first – and so far only – smartphone from the English manufacturer. We found it all the more unfortunate that Android 13 will only be available for the Phone (1) next year.

As little consolation, Nothing has now started the Android 13 beta program for the device. Something CEO Carl Pei had already announced two weeks ago. With the program we can see what Nothing is planning with Android 13 and which new functions – in addition to those already standard in Android 13 – Nothing has invented and created itself. We list them below for you.
