Nokia will come this year with four 5G smartphones
HMD Global is said to be planning to release four new 5G smartphones under the Nokia name this year. At the moment, the 5G line consists of only one device.
4x 5G
Before the end of 2021, HMD Global would like to release four new Nokia smartphones with support for the 5G network. The information on this comes from sources that would be familiar with HMD Global’s plans. The four models will not all be announced at the same time. In the first half of 2021 we will see the first two, in the second half we can expect the other two.
It’s a pretty safe bet when we say the Nokia 7.3 5G is in the first batch. Earlier it became clear that Nokia is planning to release a 5G device with the new Snapdragon 480 processor, and that would be the Nokia 7.3 5G. In addition, the possibility is also kept open that we will finally see a high-end smartphone from Nokia again. This may be a new Nokia 9.X PureView.
The two other models with 5G are, according to the source, the Nokia 8.4 5G, as the successor to the Nokia 8.3 5G. We expect this in the second half of 2021. The other model should be the Nokia 5.5, but it will take a while. The Nokia 5.4 will not be in stores until this month. Incidentally, it does not support 5G. If the rumors are correct, the Nokia 8.4 5G will probably get a processor from the Snapdragon 7XX series, while the Nokia 5.5 will get a Snapdragon 6XX chipset.
