Nokia X30, G60 and T21 announced

On the first day of September, HMD Global announced three new products and a new service. For starters, there are two new smartphones and a new tablet. We have described the details of the new smartphones in detail for you below.

Nokia X30

First up is the Nokia X30 and offers support for the 5G network. Attention has been paid to the environment. For example, the phone consists entirely of recycled aluminum and the back is made of 65 percent recycled plastic. It is striking that the name ‘PureView’ returns to the Nokia X30. This name was previously only used for the camera on high-end models. This camera has a 50 megapixel main lens with AI and optical image stabilization and there is also a 13 megapixel wide-angle lens. The Nokia X30 appears with a 6.43-inch Full-HD+ 90Hz AMOLED screen. On board is a 4200 mAh battery with 33W fast charging and a Snapdragon 695 chipset. The Nokia X30 comes with Android 12 and gets three Android OS updates. You have to purchase the charger separately. You also get three years of security updates and a three-year manufacturer’s warranty.

In the G series, Nokia has announced the Nokia G60. This smartphone has a back that consists of 100 percent recycled plastic. On board the Nokia G60 is also the 5G support and there is a 6.58 inch Full-HD + 120Hz screen and a triple camera with 50MP main lens, 5MP wide angle and 2MP depth lens. A new tablet has also been announced. After the Nokia T20 review appeared on DroidApp a few months ago, it is now the turn of the Nokia T21. This tablet is intended for the whole family and comes with a 10.36 inch screen (2000 x 1200 pixels) and an 8 megapixel camera on both the front and the back. Nokia again gives the tablet a Unisoc chipset, this time the T612. Nokia promises three years of monthly security updates, two Android OS updates and support for an optional active pen. The 8200 mAh battery can be charged with 18W, but only a 10W charger is included.

Nokia Circular

Then the new service; it is called Circular and is a subscription formula in which sustainability is central. Rewards, among other things, encourage people to use a device for longer. With Circular, the negative impact of telephone ownership on the planet should be reduced. Within the subscription model, Nokia devices are recycled, refurbished and reissued or donated to charity. Subscribers can change and choose a subscription themselves. Damage, loss or theft does not affect the monthly costs. Nokia promises to provide a quick replacement.

Through the Seeds of Tomorrow program, users are rewarded with seeds. The longer a device is in someone’s possession, the more seeds the user receives. These can be spent on charities that focus on sustainability and charity. Think of planting trees, removing plastic from rivers and reducing carbon by removing it from the atmosphere. The subscription model is coming first to Germany and the United Kingdom. Other countries will follow later. The program will be available first for the Nokia G60, XR20, Nokia T10 LTE and later also the Nokia X30 and T21.
