Next Call of Duty launches with a surprise!

Activision

The launch of a new Call of Duty is always special, but the next one also has a surprise.

We can expect a lot from the next Call of Duty, especially now that it has become known that the new game will come alongside a renewed Warzone. The main game is a sequel to the 2019 ‘Modern Warfare’ reboot. Expect a major uproar in Warzone along with the next Call of Duty game. Activision has shared early details of its Call of Duty releases for 2022, promising a “huge evolution” of Warzone.

Next Call of Duty and a Warzone

Both games will feature a new game engine, and Warzone will feature both an “all-new play space” and a familiar-sounding sandbox mode. The main game is a sequel to the Modern Warfare reboot of 2019. Infinity Ward is leading the development of both the new Call of Duty and Warzone.

That’s not surprising because the studio covered both the Modern Warfare revival and the current Warzone. It is not yet clear to what extent serial veterans Raven, Sledgehammer or Treyarch will be involved. However, it is expected that they will not play a major role in this development. Sledgehammer was previously responsible for Call of Duty: Vanguard in 2021, while Raven and Treyarch worked on Black Ops Cold War in 2020.

hassle

There is a lot of fuss at the franchise right now. Raven’s staff has pushed for unionization, and Microsoft’s purchase of Activision briefly raised questions about the future of Call of Duty on PlayStation. Those rumors have softened a bit at the moment, but the future should show whether the game really stays on all consoles. There are also continuous stories of misconduct at the publisher. This is not good at all.
