New provider makes it possible – despite high electricity prices

At current electricity prices, charging the e-car can be expensive. Especially those who have to move on as quickly as possible and therefore prefer fast chargers have to dig deep into their pockets. A new charging provider wants to change that and is making a real declaration of war on the competition with the kilowatt-hour price. But there are some catches.

E-car: New app offers charging current at a bargain price

If you set off in an e-car and want to quickly recharge on the way, you often have to accept high prices. Especially in the currently particularly tense situation on the energy market kilowatt-hour prices come to e-car drivers who have washed up.

One kWh on the EnBW DC charger costs just 55 cents at the standard rate. Tesla’s superchargers, which were particularly cheap for a long time and are now also open to third-party brands in Germany, have also become expensive: E-car drivers cost between 56 and 58 cents per kWh.

The loading app Bonnet from Great Britain has, however low prices written on the flag and is available in Germany. Anyone who decides to stop at a supported charging station only pays 41 cents per kWh with Bonnet.

Lease an e-car and collect a bonus of €6,000

It’s even cheaper if you plan ahead: If you opt for a monthly prepaid contingent, you can up to 30 cents per kWh – a real challenge to the competition. If you don’t use up your monthly quota, you can take the remaining ones with you to the next month, they don’t expire. If you do need more electricity, the price of the prepaid offer also applies after your limit.

Bonnet loading app: Users should be aware of these stumbling blocks

But there are a few stumbling blocks that you should be aware of: On the one hand, the selection of supported charging stations is manageable. You can load with Bonnet at Ionity, Fastned and Allego, among others. However, columns from EnBW or Aral are not supported.

Despite high electricity prices, an e-car can be the right choice:

The app is also available in other European countries. However, other prices may apply there, so you should inform yourself beforehand if you are crossing the border. The “Bonnet: EV Charging App” is also available so far only in an English language version.

Those who accept the restrictions will do so rewarded with attractive prizes. This is also ensured by a personal referral code, with which you can refer friends and save a few more euros.
