New Material You widgets for Contacts app rolling out now: have you got them yet?
Google gives the Contacts app some nice widgets that match the colors of your wallpaper perfectly thanks to Material You. These are the new Material You widgets.

Two new Material You style Contacts widgets
Google introduced Material You, a completely new design, with the arrival of Android 12. With Material You you can adapt the interface to the colors of the wallpaper you have set or choose colors yourself. Among other things, the clock, the widgets and the quick settings take over those colors. In addition to the three standard widgets, Google’s Contacts app added a nice large Material You widget (3×2) called ‘Individual Contact’ in November.
That widget was not yet available at the time, but that is now gradually coming to an end. The widget will be rolled out from now on together with another 2×2 and 4×1 widget. The first is called ‘Individual contact’ and it can be resized from 2×2 to different sizes, such as a vertical 3×1 widget. In addition, a 4×1 widget called ‘Favorite contacts’ pops up. Here you can add your favorite contacts. According to Android Police, this widget is only available to a very small group.
Existing shortcuts in Contacts will remain. There is one for one contact, one for calling a contact and one for sending a message to a contact via Messages. Only the new widgets take on the color of the wallpaper. This way the interface appears more as a whole.
The new widgets should appear in version 4.5.24.517943267 of the Contacts app. Google is gradually rolling them out to a larger group. Until then, we will try to wait patiently until it is our turn.
