There is news about the new Huawei P50 series. The smartphone series that the P40 series should succeed, seems to be released with HarmonyOS.

The time when Huawei undoubtedly equips its smartphones with Android is unfortunately behind us. The latest posts speak of interesting news about the Huawei P50 series. According to a now-deleted Weibo account, the Huawei P50 will be released with HarmonyOS, the Chinese manufacturer’s own developed operating system. The status update stated that Beta 2 has been completed and is now moving to Beta 3.

It therefore seems that the Huawei P50 will not be equipped with Android. How this will look exactly in practice, that remains to be seen. For the applications, the Huawei AppGallery can be used.

Not only the P50 series will be able to run on HarmonyOS. According to previous reports, Huawei is also releasing its own OS for previously released smartphones (such as the P40 series and Mate 40 Pro). Huawei will reportedly start with this in April. Details about it are still missing.
