Never done it before: Mario Kart player masters the impossible

Although many players have a deep love-hate relationship with the rainbow track, it is somehow part of Mario Kart. If you don’t want to drive it all the way, you can take a shortcut. At one point, however, almost all Mario Kart players fail.

A study found that games like GTA V don’t make you aggressive, but let’s face it – the rainbow range in Mario Kart, friendship just ends. Nevertheless, it is mandatory, sometimes just to dust off certain achievements or unlock things. After all, they have been around in several variants since the original Mario Kart on the SNES.

It is also a must for many players to find shortcuts and break records. In the summer of 2018, a YouTuber named Summoning Salt Ultra shortcuts on ten different Mario Kart tracks, but in the Wii version there is one that no human has managed to complete – until 2021.

In his video, YouTuber Summoning Salt describes the Ultra Shortcut as unprecedented. No wonder, after all, there are numerous steps to consider and execute them perfectly in order to achieve the desired success. You see the mentioned part from about 29:20 minutes:

About two and a half years later it happened: The French Mario Kart fan ArthuurrP achieved something that had come before only with tool-assisted runs was done – he completed the Ultra Shortcut in Mario Kart for the Wii.

According to eSports consultant Rod Breslau, there was already tens of thousands of attemptsto make it, that’s why ArthuurrP can be particularly proud of himself.
