Netflix is ​​strict thriller with Christian Bale

Netflix has paid a whopping $ 55 million for the Christian Bale film, which is more than € 46 million. It is the highest amount ever paid during the fair, Deadline reports. The Pale Blue Eye is a passion project from director Scott Cooper that he has reportedly been tinkering with for 10 years. The American director has already worked with Bale twice, for Out of the Furnace and western Hostiles. Cooper previously also made a mafia film Black Mass.

The Pale Blue Eye is based on the book of the same name and is about a series of murders at a military academy in the United States in 1830. Bale plays a talented detective who, together with student Edgar Allan Poe (the later poet who in real life also academy sat) has to solve the murders.
