Netflix brings smartphone function to TV

Can you smile on the big screen. The Netflix feature Fast Laughs is now also moving from the smartphone to the TV.

The principle of TikTok has already been stolen a dozen times. Think, for example, of Instagram Reels, but Netflix has also devised its own variant of TikTok. For a while exclusively on smartphones you could watch comedy reels in TikTok style. In other words, short vertical videos, under the name Fast Laughs in the Netflix app. The American streaming service has now brought this principle to TV, because why can’t you laugh at short films on your TV?

The clips are clips from Netflix Original movies and series. If you had a good laugh about it, you get the chance to watch the series or movie right away. Smart example of Netflix marketing, simply baked into its own service. Unfortunately, the feature does not yet work here in the Netherlands. Netflix has rolled out the service in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. It is unknown if we will be next.

The jokes shown in Fast Laughs can only be accessed from a regular Netflix account. Netflix Kids, an account that you can run within the app with content aimed at children, does not contain any jokes.
