Navigation app Sygic comes with Android Auto improvements and new app features

Google has Google Maps and then you have Waze, Here and of course Sygic. The latter app is a handy navigation app that has now been expanded with Android Auto capabilities. The smartphone helps the system with this.

Navigating in the car using the smartphone is done a lot. Google Maps is a widely used application, but there are more fish in the pond. Think of Sygic, a Slovakian-made app, and it’s packed with features. Sygic can handle Android Auto and offers even more options with the latest update. As it were, the smartphone can help with the use of the navigation service via Android Auto.

So what exactly is new in Sygic? A big advantage is that the app can be used on the smartphone, while the route guidance continues to be shown on the Android Auto screen. This makes it possible, for example, to have the co-driver add a stopover to a route, or to change the destination. By means of Real View Navigation, the route can be projected on the road on the screen of the smartphone. The camera of the connected phone is used for this. Furthermore, the maximum speed can be displayed in real time, a function that has been improved with the update. Check the signs along the road.

Sygic’s Android app has been enhanced with a handy improvement. Now you can directly add a POI location in the Android Auto application. Think of a supermarket, gas station or other important location. All this while the screen of your Android Auto continues to show the route, without you having to miss anything. Finally, in Sygic you can change the blue color of the navigation arrow to a color of your choice.
