Motorola presents first ThinkPhone

Motorola has announced a new smartphone, optimally suited for the business user; the Motorola ThinkPhone. For example, the company’s phone works well with Lenovo’s ThinkPad laptops.

This smartphone has been announced by the company and is mainly aimed at the business user. Security platform ThinkShield ensures the safe storage of data. A separate chip, which is separate from the chipset, ensures that files are stored securely using keys. Through Think 2 Think it can work together with a Windows device, so that it can exchange the clipboard and files, but also open apps on the PC and the phone can serve as a webcam. ThinkPhone by Motorola introduces Think2Think connectivity powered by Ready For3, a set of productivity-enhancing applications that enable business end users to enjoy seamless integration between a ThinkPhone and ThinkPad. The Think2Think applications are:

  • Instant Connect: Phone and PC know when they are near each other and connect via WiFi.
  • Unified Clipboard: Transfer copied text or recent photos, scanned documents and videos between devices by pasting them into any app on the destination device.
  • Unified Notifications: Phone notifications appear directly in the Windows Action Center. When you click on a notification, the corresponding phone app will automatically open on the PC screen.
  • File Drop: Simply drag and drop files between ThinkPhone and PC.
  • App Streaming: Open any Android application directly on PC.
  • Advanced Webcam: Take advantage of the powerful ThinkPhone cameras and AI capabilities and use it as a webcam for video calls.
  • Instant Hotspot: Connect to the internet with one click, directly from the PC to take advantage of the ThinkPhone’s 5G connectivity.

There is a 6.6-inch Full-HD + display, a 5000 mAh battery with 68W charging, an aramid and aluminum housing and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 + chipset. There is also 8GB of RAM and a storage space of 256GB. The ThinkPhone will receive four years of security updates and three Android updates. From the end of January
