Microsoft Rewards: Get rewarded for surfing the web

Microsoft has a handy points system that allows you to receive rewards for what you do on the Internet. For example, the system sometimes asks you a question in the form of a bonus quiz for rewards, but using the Bing search engine can also earn you points.

Microsoft Rewards

Google is the largest search engine on earth, but Microsoft can do that. It is introducing more and more new tricks for its search engine Bing (including a ChatGPT-like bot) and now also a points system. It existed longer as Microsoft Bing Rewards and now it has a new name and a new look and is called Microsoft Rewards. You can find the program here.

Here are the ways you can collect points:

  • Search on Microsoft Bing (3 points per search).
  • Participate in daily quizzes and surveys (5 or 10 points)
  • Shopping in the Microsoft Store, such as buying games on your Xbox, physical Surface products or apps on your PC (1 point per euro)
  • Log in daily (after 3 days in a row you get 45 points and after 10 days in a row you even get 150 points every 10 days).
  • Play Xbox free-to-play games and download new apps (there are even special quests for Game Pass members that you can start from the library).

There are also different levels: you can collect a maximum of 50 points via Bing if you are level 1 and 250 points for level 2. If you search via Bing via the Edge browser, you will receive an extra 5 points per day if you are level 1 and 20 if you are level 2. Not bad right? At some points, the difference is made between searching via your mobile and searching via the browser. It depends on your location if it works on mobile at all. And if you shop in the Microsoft Store, if you have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (or Live Gold) you will receive 20 points per euro. By the way, at level 2 you don’t get 1 point per euro, but 10.

Just make sure you’re signed in to your Microsoft account when you do all those things, otherwise you won’t get any points.

Spend Microsoft Rewards points

Very nice, all those points, but what can you do with them? You can find rewards within the program under the Redeem tab. You can enter for 200 points to win an Xbox, but you can also buy an Amazon gift card, a Game Pass subscription or Roblox credit. And so there are many Microsoft benefits, but also gift vouchers from well-known webshops to choose from.

How much can you earn?

You won’t be able to pay the mortgage with your Microsoft points, but you can get nice rewards for it. For example, you have lost 7,500 points on a gift card of 5 euros. You can earn 250 points per day with a level 2 account, so that’s 7,500 per month. In short, you can scrape together 5 euros per month on the second level.
