major improvements for camera and charging expected

Google recently presented its new Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. Next year, the more affordable Pixel 7a is expected, about which more information is now known.

Pixel 7a in the news

Recently on DroidApp we shared our extensive findings about the Pixel 7 Pro in the Pixel 7 Pro review. Like every year at Google, an ‘a’ device is also released. For example, the Pixel 6a appeared this year and we will be introduced to the Pixel 7a next year. There is now a lot of news about that smartphone. Google is said to have major improvements planned.

The Pixel 7 Pro

The new Google Pixel 7a will once again be a device in a lower segment. However, that doesn’t mean you have to compromise on everything. For example, it is expected that the 7a will also be the first a-smartphone to be wirelessly charged. It is also rumored that the phone will be equipped with a ceramic housing, something that we have our doubts about, as this is not at all something for a cheaper line.

The biggest development in the Pixel A series is for the camera. The Google Pixel 7a will be equipped with a 50 megapixel main camera, a lens that we also saw with the high-end Pixel 6 series. This lens is from the Samsung factory. The report also states that the Pixel 7a will also get a Sony telephoto lens and a Sony wide-angle lens. So three lenses for the Pixel 7a, where the current Pixel 7 Pro also has three, but the Pixel 7 has to make do with two.

Google didn’t release the Pixel 6a until July this year. So it may take a while until Google releases the 7a. During that time, things can also change. For now we have to make do with the information that has come in through the rumor mill.
