Download and install iOS 16.2
After we were able to get started with the RC (Release Candidate) recently, iOS 16.2 is now out. Anyone can now get the latest iOS update. What are you waiting for? Just download and install!
How to download iOS 16.2:
- Make sure your iPhone battery is at least 50 percent full, or connect it to the charger;
- Go to the Settings app and tap on ‘General’;
- Choose “Software Update” and tap “Download and Install.”
These are the most important innovations in iOS 16.2
There are a number of innovations in this iOS update. We have listed the three most interesting ones for you.
1. Freeform: whiteboard for everyone
With the update you get a new app called Freeform. This app is a kind of digital whiteboard on which you can go wild alone or together. You can draw on it to your heart’s content, post sticky notes, show photos and videos, share PDFs and much more. The app will also be available on iPad and Mac.
2. Apple Music Sing: Scream along to the music
Do you have an Apple Music subscription? Good! Because then you get a nice extra in iOS 16.2. Apple releases Apple Music Sing. This is a cool karaoke feature that lets you sing along. Not all songs have support for the new sing function yet, but more songs are being added all the time.
Don’t have Apple Music yet, but do you want to be able to sing along with Apple Music Sing? Then you must first take out a subscription.
3. Always on screen becomes customizable
You didn’t have many options to adjust the always on screen just after the release of iOS 16. In addition, many iPhone 14 Pro (Max) owners find the always-on screen too bright. That is now changing.
