Anouk Hoogendijk is going on maternity leave (despite fomo)

Former professional football player Anouk Hoogendijk has made the decision: she is going on maternity leave. Although she actually wanted to put it off for a while, because: fomo (fear of missing out). “I felt in everything that enough was enough.”

The heavily pregnant Anouk announces on Instagram that she is going on leave. “Sometimes you have to be sensible and honest,” she writes. ‘I actually wanted to work for TV etc this week (fomo), but I felt that it was enough: lots of aches/ailments, hardly any sleep at night and little energy. So from now on: relax mode!!’

In any case, Anouk does not have to be bored. ‘Oh yes and a bit of everything in order mode because there is still some work to be done…’, says the former professional football player. Anouk announced in June that she was pregnant again. She and her friend Pieter are expecting a boy. In October 2020, Anouk gave birth to son Sonny.
