The high-end LG Gram laptop attracts the attention of gamers. Not only because of the extreme flatness, but also because of the striking appearance.

LG unpacks with two idiosyncratic models

Usually you have to trade computer performance for lighter weight when it comes to a laptop. With the LG Gram laptop models, LG breaks through this trend, albeit at a higher cost.

LG, Samsung’s big Korean arch-rival, is known for its quirky, out-of-the-box technical designs. The laptops of the LG Gram laptop models are no exception to this.

LG Gram UltraSlim, laptop as thick as a smartphone

The somewhat more serious LG Gram UltraSlim model can compete with the smartphone in terms of thickness (eat that, arch-rival Samsung, they will think at LG). With only 11 mm thickness and also a low weight of around 998 grams, LG seems to have found the perfect answer to the needs of business travelers, digital nomads and gamers.

Because wherever they are, they can have an optimal work and gaming experience with the LG Gram UltraSlim without going over the luggage limit. The screen resolution is very decent with 1920 x 1080 on an OLED screen.

LG Gram Style, especially beautiful

Are you satisfied with a slightly larger thickness, but don’t want to make any compromises in terms of appearance and user experience? Then go for the LG Gram Style. These are a few millimeters thicker and a gram heavier for the smallest version, but they make up for that with a longer operating life. This is because of the larger battery of 100 watt hours.

The main attraction of the LG Gram Style lies in its spectacular appearance. The housing is made of glass, which makes the laptop a bit more arty and classy than the metal LG Gram Ultraslim. It also creates a unique play of colors depending on the position of the light, which some say makes this the most beautiful laptop of 2023. The resolution of the screen is also somewhat higher (3200 x 2000). The beautiful, clear OLED screen provides a very sharp image. Gamers and graphic designers in particular will be pleased with this portable laptop.

Technical specifications

The main difference between the two laptop lines is the form factor. The internals are identical, apart from the larger battery in the LG Gram Style. And the higher resolution of the screen, of course. Both laptops have 16 GB of memory, a 512 GB SSD, expandable to two terabytes, and two USB-C ports to plug in accessories.

Furthermore, a 16:9 screen and an Intel Core i5 to i7 processor. Intel^®The 13th Gen Raptor Lake chip with Performance Cores (P-Cores) is state of the art. The Style is available in both a 14-inch and a 16-inch variant, the UltraSlim only in a 15.6-inch variant.

When are these laptops for sale?

LG will begin global sales of the LG Gram Style and the UltraSlim in February 2023, in Korea. It is not yet known when exactly the delivery in the Netherlands will start, but that will probably be in February or not too long after.
