Fried grasshoppers
In all markets in Thailand you will find fried insects and other crazy snacks. I didn’t taste the grasshoppers myself, but the daughters thought they were nice and crunchy. Well, dipped in chocolate everything tastes good.

To Circo de los Niños
Cirque du Soleil has founded a children’s circus in San Pancho, Mexico. My daughters learned to pedal on unicycles and acrobatics on trampolines. You can also juggle and walk tightrope.
Snorkel and relax
Swimming among the turtles and Nemo fish is of course too much fun. We found the atmosphere super laidback on Gili Air in Indonesia. It is definitely not a party island and has a nice mix of jungle and beach. In the evening they often play movies on a big screen on the beach.

To sleep
In a floating house
Khao Sok is a nature park in Thailand where you can spend the night in a cabin on the water after a day of hiking. Do take insect repellent with you.
In a tent on the beach
Bring a tent, or just a sleeping bag, and camp under the stars at Playa Patzcuaro in Nayarit, Mexico. Make a campfire, grill a few fish for breakfast and imagine yourself in paradise.
