Jurassic World Evolution 2: Sell Fossils

Through expeditions you will collect many fossils in Jurassic World Evolution 2. The science center fills up quickly and some of them don’t even contain dino DNA. You have to sell these fossils to make way for new supplies.

Which fossils can you sell?

There are two major types of fossils in Jurassic World Evolution 2: those with and those without DNA. You can recognize fossils with DNA by the four hexagons at the bottom of the picture. With the help of these fossils you can extract the DNA of the dinosaurs and use it to create new dinosaurs.

Fossils without these hexagons do not contain DNA, but have different sales values. They can also only be sold and have no other purpose in the game other than to make money. The fossils with dinosaur DNA cannot be sold at allbut only to be extracted.

Selling fossils without DNA

When researching building upgrades for the Science Center, you can increase the amount of fossil storage. But even then the warehouse fills up quickly and you have to make room again.

To sell the fossils, you have to sell them just like the DNA fossils place in the extraction places on the right in the picture. Then assign a scientist and start the process as usual. Again, you’ll have to spend $ 50,000 to even begin the process. So if you’re already in the red, you won’t be able to make quick money this way. Selling dinosaurs might help.

The fossil marked in red can be placed in the extraction slots on the right and sold.

The reason why many players wonder how fossils can be sold is certainly because the game does not give us any confirmation that the sale took place or that we received any money for it. But if you pay close attention to your account balance when you close, you will see that the amount has increased.

We recommend that you use all extraction slots when extracting DNA fossils. So if there is still space, put the other fossils in there as well. In this way, you partially get the costs for the extraction back in.
