Jony Ive and Luca Maestri considered as Ferrari CEOs
We hadn’t seen it coming, that one. According to the Italian press, quoted by Reuters, Jony Ive and Luca Maestri are tipped to be the new boss of Ferrari. The first is the former Apple designer. The second is the current CFO of the group.

Louis Camilleri, who had been at the helm of Ferrari since 2008, recently stepped down. He explains this departure for “personal reasons”, without going into details. The Italian manufacturer naturally owes him a successor. And so it is there that we learn that Jony Ive or Luca Maestri could well be the new boss of Ferrari.
The two aren’t the only ones being considered, however. Vittorio Colao, former manager of operator Vodafone, is also a candidate. While waiting to find a successor, it is John Elkann who takes control of the car manufacturer.
Luca Maestri
The choice of Jony Ive and Luca Maestri to be the boss of Ferrari may be surprising, in any case. Neither have any particular experience in the world of cars. But after all, Louis Camilleri also had no experience in this industry.
As a reminder, Jony Ive left Apple last year. He was in charge of the design team at Apple since 1996. For his part, Luca Maestri is still in office.
