Sometimes it just has to go fast. You probably already have the most important apps on your phone’s home screen so you can access them right away, but what about all those other apps? Either scroll through the app drawer to the app you are looking for or type the name in the search bar to open the app. The app launcher Fast claims it can be even faster.

As soon as you tap the Fast icon on your home screen, an input box and keyboard will appear on the screen. The intention is that you then enter the name of the app in question, and then search results will appear below the input window. Still, you don’t have to tap those results, because you better just enter the name further. The moment Fast knows with certainty which app you would like to open, Fast immediately starts that app.

Faster than your shadow

This often happens while you are still typing and after you have only typed two letters. I was sometimes amazed at how smoothly this method works in many cases. The app quickly checks the names of the apps installed on your phone. If you just place the icon of Fast on your home screen, this app does seem faster than any action you can perform in the apprawer.
