iPhone 16 Pro (Max) gets the largest iPhone screen ever
The iPhone 15 will appear in September, but not much is expected to change at first glance. Next year it will be the turn of the iPhone 16, but it will in any case receive a major adjustment. The iPhone 16 Pro and the iPhone 16 Pro Max will have the largest screen ever for an Apple smartphone.
This is what usually reliable screen analyst Ross Young says. According to Young, the iPhone 16 Pro will have a 6.3-inch screen. The iPhone 16 Pro Max takes it a step further and goes from 6.9 inches. Young does add that these dimensions are “rounded up,” so they may be slightly smaller.
The iPhone 14 Pro Max has a 6.7-inch display. The iPhone 14 Pro has a slightly smaller screen of 6.1 inches. The upcoming iPhone 15 series will probably also get stuck at these screen sizes. Apple has been sticking to these screen sizes for years with the Pro and Pro Max series. Therefore, the decision to make the screen of the iPhone 16 Pro (Max) larger is at least striking.
iPhone 16 release: that’s how long you have to wait
Unfortunately, we have to wait a while to know for sure. Apple usually releases new iPhones in September. So if you want to buy an iPhone 16 Pro or an iPhone 16 Pro Max with the larger screen, you probably have to wait until September 2024.
