‘iPhone 15 (Max) gets new design without notch’
This year the iPhone 14 Pro will get a new design, but the design will not change with the regular iPhone 14 models. That seems to be different next year, because a new rumor reports that the regular iPhone 15 will have a design without a notch.

iPhone 14 will still get a notch
All four models of the iPhone 15, which we do not expect until autumn 2023, do not have a notch Lake. That’s different from the iPhone 14, where only the Pro versions are rumored to have no notch anymore.
The iPhone 15 is, according to a tweet from Ross Young, a reliable source in the field of smartphone displays, equipped with a pill and a hole for different functions. The pill comes with a speaker for surround sound. Your selfie camera peers through the small hole on this phone.
Roadmap: iPhone 15 without notch is a logical step
Ross Young also shared a roadmap about the screens of future iPhones in his tweet. You can see this one above and it even continues until the iPhone 18! We will only see this model if Apple continues to release new iPhones according to the well-known schedule, in 2026. We also see here another confirmation for the front of the various iPhone 14 models.
It is expected that only the iPhone 14 Pro models will switch to the pill-shaped design this year (and therefore also get a little more screen). The standard iPhone 14 models are expected to retain the same notch as all current iPhone 13 models
A screen without a notch is Apple’s end goal
We can conclude one last thing from Young’s roadmap. He thinks that in the future Apple will place the selfie camera and other sensors completely under the screen. If all goes well, we will see this in the Pro models of the iPhone 18. We do not expect this until 2026. The iPhone 15 Pro without notch is therefore a first step in this direction.
According to Young, the new design will allow the iPhone 14 Pro models to have slightly larger screen sizes than iPhone 13 Pro models. We expect the iPhone 14 to be on the market this fall.
