‘iPad Fold will appear in 2024’

Foldable iPad Fold will appear in 2024
Usually reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has predicted in a series of tweets that the first foldable iPad will appear in 2024. Kuo expects no new iPads this year and we won’t see a major update for the iPad until next year. So one of these new updates is a foldable iPad.
These predictions are in line with previous reports from Samsung, as the South Korean company also expects the iPad Fold in 2024. The new iPad will have a considerably different design, according to Kuo.
iPad Fold: extremely light and foldable
The new iPad is made of a different material than the current iPads. The foldable screen gives the iPad Fold a completely new design. After all, not only the screen must be foldable, you must also be able to bend the back of the tablet. According to Kuo, the back of the iPad Fold is made of carbon fiber, which is strong and light. The tablet also gets some kind of hinge to be foldable.
The screen is said to be produced by LG. The foldable OLED screen is made of incredibly thin glass. LG has previously supplied foldable screens to HP and Lenovo. LG has mastered the production of such a screen, which Apple now wants to take advantage of. According to Kuo, it is a 20-inch screen.
New iPad stops disappointing sales
The introduction of the first foldable iPad may put an end to the disappointing sales of the iPad, according to Kuo. The Apple experts say that Apple annually sells between 10 and 15 percent fewer iPads. According to Kuo, the iPad Fold will change this.
