Mixed reactions to Netflix’s The Adam Project

The Adam Project with Ryan Reynolds on Netflix gets mixed reactions. Have you seen the movie yet?

The film has been available to watch on Netflix since last Friday. After Red Notice, this is another new Netflix title in which the Deadpool actor plays a leading role. The American is busy defecating titles on the streaming service. Before Red Notice there was also 6 Underground. They are all films that don’t deserve an Oscar, but do just fine for Ryan Reynolds.

The Adam Project has now entered the top three on the Dutch Netflix Top 10. The reactions to the film have been mixed. In this film Adam, played by Reynolds, travels back in time to his younger self. Due to an error, he does not end up in the year that the time traveler had in mind. Then follows an exciting adventure with his younger self.

If you had hoped for a blood-curdling adventure film beforehand, The Adam Project can feel like a setback. It’s more of a science fiction family movie to watch with the whole family on a Saturday night. The title has a 6.9 rating on IMDb. An excellent average, but not a film that will stay with you for days. Criticisms include that Reynolds regularly appears as ‘Deadpool’ again. In other words, his typical humor. If you’re not a fan of that, you should stay far away from this movie. Then Ryan Reynolds is simply not for you.
