Inexpensive 5G cell phones are a real endurance runner
With the Nokia G50, HMD Global has presented a long-lasting mobile phone that also wants to score points away from the powerful battery. Despite the relatively small price, it is a 5G smartphone with a triple camera.
Nokia G50: Inexpensive 5G model with a large display
HMD Global has announced the Nokia G50 and is sending it on sale immediately. One of the highlights of the new cell phone concerns the battery, which is on a Capacity of a whopping 5,000 mAh comes and can be recharged with 18 watts. The manufacturer promises a two-day runtime before the Nokia G50 has to be plugged in again.
The cell phone’s LC display offers a Diagonal of 6.82 inches, but only dissolves with HD +. The maximum brightness is given as 450 nits, no comment is made on the refresh rate.

There’s one on the back of the phone triple camera to find that allows pictures up to 48 MP. There is also an ultra wide angle (5 MP) and a depth sensor (2 MP). Selfies via the front camera go up to 8 MP. In rather poor lighting conditions, a “super night selfie mode” should ensure better results.
The processor is the 5G-enabled Snapdragon 480 ready, which can also be found in cheap smartphones from Oppo and OnePlus. The Nokia G50 has 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of permanent storage by its side. No other variants are offered, but the memory can be expanded by up to 512 GB via a microSD card (source: Nokia). Android 11 is pre-installed. According to HMD Global, security updates are distributed for at least three years and operating system updates for two years.
