You use Google Docs and the other office tools from google? There is one trick that hardly anyone knows: just one Address in the browser line enter and you create in no time at all new google doc. We show how it’s done.

The Google Drive Office apps have blossomed into a great alternative to Microsoft Office. The constant backup in the cloud and the ability to quickly share and work together are simply worth gold in everyday life, even if the services require an Internet connection and a Google account and do not quite come close to the functional depth of Microsoft Office. For anyone who uses Google Docs, spreadsheets and presentations a lot, this trick helps to work a little faster.

If you have a create new doc want, you can Use URL shortcuts. These are addresses that you enter in the browser to create a new document immediately. They are as follows:

Bonus tip for ultra-productive people: bookmark the URLs and create a new document with one click.

The URL shortcuts work in all browsers. For the sake of completeness, it should be mentioned that the respective plural of the word in the address usually works, for example docs.new instead of doc.new.

There is only one shortcut that I am missing: the one for quickly writing an email via Gmail. mail.new currently only works if you have an @ google.com address, i.e. for Google employees. Hopefully it will come some day.
