The Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro smart watch received an update in China last month, which improves the stability and smoothness of the system. According to the Huawei Central portal, it is now entering the global market. The new firmware carries version 11.0.5.32 and the update itself is 78.97 MB.

1. Connect your watch to your smartphone using the Huawei Health app
2. In the app, scroll to Devices and select your watch from the list
3. Choose a firmware update
4. If your watch has received an update, have it updated and then follow the on-screen instructions

Will the watch also receive an update on HarmonyOS?

At the beginning of June, Huawei introduced the first smart watch with the pre-installed HarmonyOS 2.0 system – Huawei Watch 3. Users of watches of older generations are now wondering whether their devices will also receive an update to the new system.

The Huawei Watch GT 2 series is said to be upgraded to HarmonyOS 2.0. So far, however, there is no official plan or confirmation from the company as to when and if this will happen at all.
