So memories. You actually take pictures for that, to look back at where what you did. The feature has a new look with animated cards with adaptive titles, new animation and transition styles, and multiple image collages for a more cinematic feel. There are new memory looks that are added to Memories based on each photo and video. Where Apple uses machine learning to apply the correct contrast and color adjustment for a consistent look. Apple says this feature is designed to mimic what colorists do in movie studios.

Any text on a photo on your iPhone will be recognized by the new Live Tex feature. And that’s handy, because the text in the photo is selectable. This allows you to copy it or use it with the ‘lookup’ function. It is also possible to translate it, this can be done directly from the photo. The whole thing works with all images in the app and is also compatible with Safari, screenshots and the live camera viewer.

In many photos, your iPhone can recognize various objects, landmarks, animals, books, plants, artwork and more. For example, if you take a nice photo of a flower, you can use this function to determine what it could be. When viewing an image, if the “I” icon has an asterisk, it means there is a visual lookup for you to check out.
