Google Translate is a very handy service that allows you to translate entire texts in a short time. There have been reports of a redesign for some time, which is now a fact. The new update will be rolled out from now on.

Google Translate in a new jacket

Google Translate’s Android app is getting a makeover. It is a server-side update in which the design of the application has been overhauled. This brings it more in style from Material You, which was announced along with Android 12. At the bottom of the screen we see large buttons for starting a conversation, a voice command or the camera. Of course, typing is still possible and the translation appears below the typed text.

By tapping your profile picture at the top of the screen, you can also navigate to the history. This way you can see which texts you have looked up before; which can sometimes be useful. You can also navigate to other settings for the Google Translate app in the same way. This way you also manage the offline stored languages.
