Not only Xbox Game Pass subscribers can look forward to new games every month. PS Now members also get access to new games at regular intervals. This month, a game made it into the subscription that attracted attention at the end of last year with numerous negative headlines: the GTA remake.

GTA: Vice City – Remake lands in the PS Now subscription

As Xbox Game Pass continues to gain popularity, Sony doesn’t seem to be hitting the ground running with its in-house alternative called PS Now, despite the fact that the two services are very similar. Both offers give their subscribers access to a library of games that is updated once a month. Old games disappear from the subscription, others are added.

In February, PS Now subscribers can look forward to 4 new games:

  • Little Big Workshop
  • Through the Darkest of Time
  • Death Squared
  • GTA: Vice City – The Definitive Edition

Especially in the last game, some players should make big eyes. Because not only did the complete GTA remake trilogy only appear in November 2021, it primarily took care of it shortly after the start for an unbelievable amount of criticism. The revised version of the GTA classic suffered from all kinds of nasty bugs – and thanks to expired music licenses, the players have to do without some songs from the old games (source: game tips).

The new edition of the GTA games mainly offers graphical improvements – good to see in the official trailer:

GTA edition is the worst game of the last few months

With the release of the GTA remake, publisher Take-Two hasn’t done itself any favors – even if company boss Strauss Zelnick sees it differently. This is particularly evident in the disastrous user ratings on Metacritic. The user score of the PC version is currently 0.6 out of 10 possible points – a colossal failure (source: Metacritic).

The new edition of the GTA-Trilogy leads the flop 10. But the other 9 games in the list couldn’t exactly cover themselves with glory at the end of 2021 either:

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – The Definitive Edition brings a real scandal from last year to the PS Now games library this month. Many errors have since been ironed out by the developers, but the game still doesn’t have a good standing with the community.
