April security update

Most Androidworld visitors know that Google almost always releases security updates for its Pixel phones on the first Monday of the month. Unfortunately, this was not the case last month. The March security update including the Pixel Feature Drops were rolled out to Pixel phones only a week later. While Pixel 6 owners had to wait even longer.

It looks like Google is late again this month. Google already provides details about the update in the accompanying Security Bulletin. Unfortunately, the security update itself is not yet available. The Security Bulletin shows which vulnerabilities Google is addressing with this update. A total of 69 issues are resolved, 6 of which are serious. The most dangerous of these was one that allows a criminal to take over a phone remotely without the owner’s knowledge.

For the Pixels, there is always more information to view in the Pixel community. Again, we do not yet see any details about the April security update. So it remains to be seen when Google actually rolls out the update to its Pixel phones. Are you getting the update? Then let us know via this email address (please include a screenshot) or via our Telegram group. Do you have a Samsung Galaxy S23? Then you will be at the front of the queue again.
