A new feature is rolling out to the Google Meet app. The video calling app makes it possible to share streaming sessions and thus enjoy content on YouTube and Spotify together.

Live sharing in Google Meet

Google Meet is Google’s own video calling app. The application also serves as a replacement for Google Duo from now on. So it is important for Google to further expand the number of possibilities in the application. Google’s video calling app will be equipped with live sharing for Spotify and YouTube. What can you do with it?

In any case, it is a beta feature that is being rolled out. You can directly share what you watch on YouTube or listen on Spotify with others in a group conversation. When this happens with Spotify, the participants must have Spotify Premium. This way you can listen and watch together in a group. Furthermore, it is made possible to play some games with each other. Now it’s only about Uno Mobile, Kahoot and Heads Up!. It is unclear whether more games will be available in the future.

In Google Meet it will also be possible to schedule recurring meetings and it will be possible to adjust the virtual background. The Google Meet features will now be rolled out to users.
