Google Keep: Rollout of Material You design started

Google starts transforming various applications to the new Material You design. The next in line is the Google Keep app. The company has announced the new design for the tasks app.

Google Keep with Material You design

The next app from Google to be updated with the Material You design will be Google Keep. This tasks app from Google is characterized by the use of cards and lists, and will soon receive the new design. Google has announced that it will start rolling out the new interface this week.

The changes that Google is making to the Google Keep app are immediately apparent. We see a pill-shaped search bar, with a rounded square action button at the bottom. With devices with Android 12, the colors can also be copied from the background, as we saw as a feature of Material You under Android 12. In terms of functionality, nothing changes with the new version of Google Keep. Despite the improvements with the Material You design, it doesn’t seem to bring any major changes.

Google will start the rollout of the new Google Keep app from now on.
