Wuchang: Fallen Feathers – -apkrig
Where are the times when Dark Souls were like saffron. Today, one is slowly getting lost in them. In addition to Dark Souls, we have Bloodborne, Sekiro, Lords of the Fallen, The Surge, Mortal Shell, Black Myth: Wu Kong and now also Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. The latter bets on historical China to cut fantasy elements.
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers will impress you first with its setting. It takes place shortly after the fall of the famous Ming Dynasty, when everything goes dill. And to such an extent that the inhabitants of the local homesteads were affected by a mysterious disease causing the growth of feathers, but mainly the delusion of the mind.
Suddenly, most locals are hostile to the young protagonist. And even though they look pretty normal at first glance, the end of the hearty shots from playing above will mislead you. The infection can deform a person so much that, for example, a bird’s head grows out of his mouth. Such a person is then a really tough boss.
It seems that the Chinese studio Leenzee Games is full of talented graphic artists, because Wuchang: Fallen Feathers already looks really good in these shots from the alpha version. However, the same cannot be said about duel animations, on which a piece of work still needs to be done. But it’s just an example from the alpha, from which we can not expect the quality of the finished game.
Even so, it is quite evident where the developers were inspired. The elements of Dark Souls, such as stabbing in the back, and Bloodborne, such as two-handed ax and shooting from the side, cannot be overlooked when watching the video, and the question arises as to whether the Chinese did not overdo it with that inspiration. But we will find out when we touch the game ourselves.
This is the first time that Wuchang: Fallen Feathers has shown us, so we can’t be surprised that we’re not getting a release date yet. But it should work on computers and unspecified consoles.
