Google finally fixes Android Auto issues with Galaxy S22

Android Auto users who own a device from the Samsung Galaxy S22 series have been facing a lot of problems lately.

Google rolled out an update to the Android Auto application in May, fixing issues with the Galaxy S22. However, it seems that not all problems were solved with this. That should now be the case with the new update released by Google. For months, a large group of users with a Galaxy S22, S22+ or S22 Ultra had problems with the Android Auto application in the car. In many of those cases it became impossible to get Android Auto to work. The screen often remained black.

In February, the problem was acknowledged by Google. A beta update was rolled out in May that addressed the issues, but it went silent after that. It was not entirely clear whether this would solve all problems with Android Auto. With version 7.7 now being rolled out for everyone, it seems that the problems are finally being solved. The update will now be rolled out via the Google Play Store. It will reach everyone in the coming days.
