“Google comes with Pixel Notepad as a foldable device”

According to the latest reports, we can expect a foldable smartphone from Google in the long term. The new model would be named Pixel Notepad and will run on the modified Android 12L.

Pixel Notepad coming?

Google seems to be definitively coming up with a foldable smartphone, as reported by colleagues from 9to5Google. Two names have surfaced here; Pixel Notepad and Pixel Logbook. It is suspected that Google will choose the first name, although things can always turn out differently. Google is making Android more and more suitable for so-called foldables. For example, testing is being done with Android 12L, a modified version of Android, optimized for devices that can be folded.

The new Pixel Notepad will have a similar design to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 3, which can be opened like a book. According to the rumors that have now surfaced, Google would be able to push the price of the device to such an extent that it should be below the price of the Z Fold 3. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 came on the market for 1799 euros and today costs about 1650 euros.

It is unknown what the price will be at that of Google. In addition, there is no information about when we can expect the new foldable Pixel and whether it will come to Europe / the Netherlands at all. Google (obviously) did not want to respond to the messages.
