Google Chrome 89 Beta is released. What’s new?

Google Chrome 88 is released, so version 89 Beta is ready. You can now download it from the Play Store or APK Mirror. According to Google, this version brings several new features that you may not notice at first glance, but you will appreciate in the long run.

Google Chrome 89 Beta is released

This is a new NFC API that allows websites to read and write NFC tags. This will further reduce the famous gap between applications and websites. There’s also a WebHID API to help support gamepads, which is great news if you’d like to play games through Google Stadiums. There are also Web Serial APIs, support for AVIF decoding and much more.

Of course, there is an improvement in stability, speed and security. If Google stays on schedule, we should see the full version of Chrome 89 in about a month, in early March. If you want, you can download the beta now.
