Little Mayah, like her mother, has piebaldism: a harmless skin condition in which (part of) your skin and hair have no pigment. It made Talyta extremely insecure in her youth, resulting in harassment. And that is precisely why she wants to show her daughter that she has something unique. “It’s cool to be ‘different’.
