Google announces Pixel 6 and 6 Pro: price, release date and specs

Google presented today its new smartphones: the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. They are the first to take on board Tensor, a house chip from Google. The group has so far used Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chips.

When it comes to raw performance, Google says its Tensor chip allows the two Pixel 6s to be up to 80% faster than last year’s Pixel 5. But Google isn’t just chasing specs this year. The chip is also improving at the level of artificial intelligence. Some tasks should therefore be completed more quickly. In addition, Tensor embeds the Titan M2 coprocessor for better security.

The Tensor chip is not the only novelty. This year, the Pixel 6 has a brand new, bold look. This is particularly the case at the rear with the photo unit protruding over the entire length. Best for updates

Another point concerns updates. Google promises that its Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will be entitled to three years of Android updates and five years of security updates. It does not change for Android. In contrast, there are two more years for security compared to previous Pixels.

Better quality photos and the Magic Eraser function

There is also the best for the photo part. Google says its all-new photo module has larger sensors to capture more color and detail, and 150% more light compared to the Pixel 5. And thanks to the ultra-wide-angle lens on the back. , broaden your horizon when taking pictures.
