It has been possible for many years to see how much storage space you are using in the web version of Gmail. It concerns the storage space of your Google account. From now on you can also do this in the Gmail app.

Google storage space in Gmail app

DroidApp reader Max has stumbled upon a new feature in the Gmail app for Android. From now on you can see at the touch of a button how much of your online storage space is being used. That way you know if you might need to remove some things, or if you need to upgrade to more online storage space. Everything you do with your Google Account, such as Photos, files in Drive, and Gmail, will use this memory. Every Google account gets 15GB of space for free.

Gmail’s web version has been around for a long time to view your current storage usage. Now that is also possible in the Gmail app for Android. All you have to do is tap on your profile picture, at the top right of the screen. You will then see the screen with how much storage is being used. This is indicated in a percentage, followed by the total storage space you have.

If you tap on this information, a nice overview will open with the memory usage of your Google account. You immediately see which application takes up how much space. This screen opens in the Google One app, which you can also find in the menu, so that you always have quick access to it. You can also upgrade or get started with freeing up space from the Google One app. A tip that can help a lot with this is our WhatsApp tip; with which you can quickly save memory in WhatsApp.
