Forget about GTA 6, a GTA Trilogy Remaster is coming (rating)

While we’ve been teased over and over by GTA 6 leaks, there’s finally some semi-official news about a Trilogy Remaster!

In recent months, two types of information about Grand Theft Auto have been leaked. The most exciting yet most unlikely is an announcement of GTA 6. That would already be on the horizon. Those, on the other hand, are always unconfirmed sources and leaks. Now we have something very concrete for you: a GTA Trilogy Remaster is almost certain after it has been submitted to the South Korean age rating agency.

GTA Trilogy Remaster

Rumors have been circulating for months about a remake, remaster or rerelease of the three classic 3D Grand Theft Autos. GTA 3, GTA: Vice City and GTA: San Andreas came out in less than 4 years and established the franchise as a mainstream behemoth. According to the rating agency, there is finally a contemporary version of those three games.

The Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition has obviously been given a ‘youth not allowed’ rating by the Korean body. The violent games have always been labeled 16 or 18 and older, depending on the market.

For the skeptics who think the rating might be for a different GTA-related project, Rockstar Games is already selling the three games in question for different platforms under the title ‘Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy’.

By sticking ‘Definitive Edition’ behind it, a publisher basically says that the version comes with all the trimmings. That means sometimes with DLC, but sometimes with the latest graphical improvements. Since all leaks keep talking about that, that seems extremely plausible. It would at least explain the witch hunt on old GTA mods.
