OPPO has announced its first tablet ever in its home country of China. The OPPO Pad comes with a Snapdragon 870 processor and an 11-inch screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Converted, it costs about 400 euros, but it is not known whether he will come to the Netherlands.

OPPO launched the Find X5 Pro on Thursday along with a cheaper flagship and a mid-range Lite variant. Meanwhile, the Chinese brand has also unveiled a low-cost fitness tracker, but that doesn’t stop it with new products. The OPPO Pad is the first tablet of the brand that has already been announced in China. OPPO does that on Chinese social media.
The OPPO Pad is a relatively large device with an 11-inch LCD screen. The panel has a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and it shows smooth animations with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen brightness reaches up to 480 nits.
Snapdragon 870 and four speakers
Under the housing is a Snapdragon 870 processor from Qualcomm, which is a chipset for high-end devices. The OPPO Pad is assisted by 6 GB or 8 GB RAM and it works with 128 GB or 256 GB storage. The battery of this device is a 6000 mAh one that can be charged with a 20W fast charger. OPPO equips the Pad with ColorOS 12.1 which is based on Android 12.

The camera on the front is an 8 MP and on the back is a 13 MP camera. The OPPO Pad comes without a fingerprint scanner, but it does support facial recognition to unlock. OPPO is further developing the Pad’s four speakers that support Dolby Atmos sound effects in films and series.
OPPO has launched the Pad along with a range of accessories. One is the OPPO Pencil, the first stylus for a commercial tablet that supports the so-called USI protocol. A certification for a stylus that indicates that it meets certain quality requirements. The Pencil supports 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity. Furthermore, the OPPO Pad also uses a ‘smart magnetic keyboard’.
