There will be a third generation of the Sony Xperia 10 III. The device will be the first 5G smartphone from Sony to be released in the mid-end segment.

Sony will introduce the Sony Xperia 10 III early next year. The manufacturer is currently preparing the various cases. The new phone will have 5G support. This will make the Xperia 10 III the company’s first smartphone to feature 5G in the mid-range segment. In this segment, the number of 5G devices has grown significantly in recent times.

The current Xperia 10 II

Sony reportedly canceled the Xperia 10 II Plus. That way, the company would like to shift its focus to 5G. It is still too early to say whether an Xperia 10 III Plus is planned. The Sony Xperia 10 III is expected to at least be equipped with a Snapdragon 690 chipset.

We also find out a bit about the Xperia 1 III. The third generation of the 1 series is said to have ‘more than four cameras’, according to the source. A striking choice, given that the Xperias are supplied with three cameras so far. Sony would like to further expand the telephone line with an Xperia L5 in the spring.
