Find King Dorephan & Skyfish

In Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, when you investigate the Zoras phenomenon, you will come across the Clues About The Sky main quest. Here you have to solve a tricky puzzle, for which you need to find King Dorephan and the sky fish. In this guide we explain exactly what to do.

Start Clues About Heaven

After speaking to Sidon at Mipha’s site, you must go to Jiato, who examines a stone tablet northwest at Toto Lake. Talking to him will start the quest “The Broken Stone Tablet”. The missing part of the stone tablet lies on a small hill under a layer of mud. Remove the mud with a water fruit or slime jelly and complete the stone tablet.

The stone tablet tells you to stand on the land of the skyfish and shoot the king’s symbol through a floating drop. With this you will receive the new main quest “Clues about the Heavens”, the puzzles of which have to be solved.

Find King Dorephan

First of all, you need the “Symbol of the King”. Here the king of the Zoras Dorephan can help you. However, the king is not sitting on his throne in the village of the Zora, but has retired to a secret hiding place to heal his wounds.

To find Dorephan, you must leave the Zora village via the eastern bridge. You will then reach Lake Mikau directly. HUnder the Mikau Lake waterfall is a secret passage leading to the Crystal Water Palace. Use the ceiling jump to get to the upper level to the king. Explain the situation to Dorephan and he will give you 5 king scales. If you need more, you can always get new ones from him as long as you haven’t solved the puzzle.

Find Skyfish and Drop

Next you need to go to the “Sky Fish”. This one floats in the sky to the east of Mipha’s site. If you have activated the tower in this area, a look at the map of the sky will show you the skyfish. Using the Zora armor, you can swim up the waterfall to get onto the skyfish.

Run to the top level of the skyfish and face south and stand on the edge. You should now see the “drop” formed by the floating rocks. Draw your bow, modify an arrow with a king scale and shoot the arrow through the drop. This will trigger a whirlpool in the Eastern Reservoir, revealing a path to the Ancient Zora Sanctuary. You have now completed Clues About the Heavens.
