Find White Wyrm Bones in FF16

White Wyrm Bones can only be obtained from large dragons, not smaller dragons or wyverns. You don’t have to search for specific dragons to get the bones. White Wyrm Bones are obtained automatically during the Final Fantasy 16 main quest.

At the end of the 29th main quest “Fire and Ice” you will automatically meet the boss “White Dragon”. This monster drops three White Wyrm Bones as loot. You cannot miss this spot.

By the way, this is also the only way to find whitewyrm bones in the game. Other than this dragon, no other dragon drops these bones.

What do you need white wyrm bones for?

White Wyrm Bones are used in the crafting of weapons and armor. More specifically, for the following pieces of equipment:

  • Diamond Sword +1: For the production you need 1x White Wyrm Bone, 1x Undervest Chain Link and 90x Bloody Skin
  • Diamond Bracelets +1: For the production you need 1x white wyrm bone, 243x wyrrite and 81x fang

Since you only need two White Wyrm Bones to craft these items, the third is not needed. However, be careful not to sell the bones and other items that have “Used to craft equipment and items.” in the info box, because you won’t get them back! You can then only capture them again in a New Game Plus or in Final Fantasy mode.

Alternatively, you can buy the Diamond Sword and Diamond Bracelets in their basic form from vendors like Charonyou should have already sold the crafting materials.
