Extra LEGO Star Wars on the way with one big ‘but’
To fill the gap between now and the upcoming new LEGO Star Wars, there will be an additional game in the series called Battles! The upcoming ‘extra’ LEGO Star Wars does have a caveat.
Star Wars themed in LEGO is starting to look a lot like the movie series in terms of status. Old(er) LEGO Star Wars sets can yield a capital because of their collectible value. To show LEGO Star Wars from a new angle, there was also a game series.
LEGO Star Wars: Battles
The fact that LEGO and Star Wars is a good combination is also apparent from the LEGO Star Wars games. These have been a phenomenon for years as an addition to both Star Wars and LEGO. A new addition to the series is on the way and will be released around 2022. For fans who can’t wait, there is a tasty treat that will be released soon: LEGO Star Wars: Battles.

It will be a slightly less extensive game in the LEGO Star Wars series where mainly player-against-player ‘battles’ play a role. It seems Pokémon-esque. Well, this slightly smaller LEGO Star Wars game is a kind of treat and at the same time a nice promotion for the company that is allowed to offer this game exclusively.
LEGO Star Wars for Apple Arcade
And therein lies the ‘but’: The smaller LEGO Star Wars will be available exclusively for Apple Arcade. This subscription based game service tries to bend some exclusive games and this ‘intermediate game’ in the LEGO Star Wars series is a good example.
‘Soon’
The new LEGO Star Wars is officially announced, but that’s about it. There is no mention of an official release date. So keep a close eye on the Apple Arcade.
