macOS 11.3 will charge smarter

The post was given by a reader of MacRumors in a test version of the new Mac software. The website writes that it is an extension for Battery Health, which was added in macOS 10.15.5. The new function ensures that you always have a fully charged MacBook, so that you are not short of power during an appointment.

The new Mac software version ensures that your laptop is fully charged a few hours before the start of the next appointment. For this, the time settings of the Calendar app are looked at. For example, if you have a short video conference meeting planned, the battery does not need to be fully charged.

It is still unclear when macOS 11.3 (Big Sur) will be released. The new Mac software version is currently in beta and can only be used by app developers. Once they have updated their programs, a consumer test version will be released. Only when it has been completed will the final update appear for all Mac users.

More about macOS 11.3

macOS 11.3 introduces several improvements, especially for Apple computers with the new M1 chip. While running iPhone and iPad apps on a Mac (with M1 processor) you will soon be able to use keyboard combinations, for example.

Furthermore, the new software version improves several apps, including Reminders and Music. Finally, macOS 11.3 makes it possible to use game controllers from PlayStation and Xbox on your Mac.

In the coming years, Apple will equip all of its computers with its own chips. These provide the computing power and are therefore important for the speed. The first Apple computers with an M1 chip are the latest MacBook Air, MacBook Pro with 13 inch screen and Mac mini desktop.
