Donate the compensation to a good cause
Various organizations indicate that extra money is desperately needed to help. The amount of people who have become dependent on an organization such as the Food Bank is growing enormously. With your donation, for example, neighborhood meals can be made, learning-work programs can be realized or thermal or baby clothing can be collected. Several energy suppliers recommend that you transfer the compensation – if you have decided to make the most of it – to a charity such as the Food Bank, the Poverty Fund or the Opportunity Fund.
Do not refund the compensation
The energy suppliers Oxxio, Vattenfall, Engie, Eneco and HEM will transfer the compensation amount directly to your account in November and December. Vandebron, Essent and Greenchoice will settle the compensation amount with your monthly rate.
Have you decided that you do not need the compensation of 2x 190 euros? Then do not transfer the money back to Vattenfall. This is of no use if you want to help each other through the winter. This is because your money will be deducted from your annual statement when you write back.
